Welcome to our Simple/House Church
Our invitation is open to all those who are seeking friendships and also want a deeper relationship with God. We come together in what is called, Simple Church, which is very similar to House Church, Home Church or Organic Church here in Perth Australia. In other words fellowships/church which usually gather together in homes. Overall we have fun, are non judgmental, help one another, support each other, pray for each other, study the Bible together, sing and play music, and develop good friendships.
What We Do
We usually meet weekly or fortnightly on a Sunday and this can vary a bit depending on which place the gathering will be held at. The venue is at someone's house and from time to time in a park or cafe. Everyone brings food as the gatherings start with a meal to be shared by all. You might say this is our communion. After and even during the meal we have discussions about many things and many topics. We ask the Holy Spirit to guide us all through out the gatherings. Sometimes we try and link these discussions with what the Bible has to say about the topic. Otherwise we glean from other's knowledge base and life experiences to help give answers to questions. Every few weeks someone presents an indepth Biblical teaching. Many times we also have music and songs as well as testimonies and encouragements. Usually we have a time of prayer for one another and for others both locally and internationally. And sometimes there is healing and prophesy. Overall we remind ourselves to be Christ centered in our daily walk. It is a great time for all and during the house or simple church gatherings a facilitator will guide the course of the gatherings so that no one person is dominating. All people are encouraged to be involved and hopefully will be able to use their God given giftings
Those who have a Teaching gifting are available to go from house to house to give guidance, teaching and support. As a group of people we would want to grow in Jesus Christ, support and help one another, and be a witness and an ambassador on behalf of Jesus Christ to all those around us and even overseas.
We also have a concern for the environment and God’s creation and will endeavor to do our best to be responsible and take care of it. This includes us as people too, as we take care of our bodies through healthy living, although we all have a free choice on this matter.
